Dig|Safely. New York sends many thousands of stake-out requests to its members each day, and occasionally one or two of those members will experience a problem with their receiving equipment which prevents them from getting these requests.

A member can determine if they have missed a stake-out request by using the sequence number on the tickets they have received. Each day, the first ticket a destination receives is given the sequence number 1, and the sequence number simply counts up as more tickets are sent to that destination. You can detect a missing ticket by finding gaps in the sequence numbers on the tickets you have received. Note sequence numbers are not for the service area; they are for the physical destination itself. Sequence numbers have nothing to do with service areas.

Example - you have received 6 tickets with sequence numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7. The destination failed to receive the 5th ticket that was sent to it.

In addition, members who have opted to receive an End of Day Audit can compare this audit against the actual tickets received to verify all tickets were delivered.

Should your receiving equipment fail to receive one or more stake-out requests, you can request Dig|Safely. New York to resend it by contacting the call center at 1-800-309-8289 during Dig|Safely. New York's normal business hours. If you are unable to correct the problem with your equipment, you may wish to have Dig|Safely. New York send tickets to you via your Alternate Delivery method.
